He also ranked 33rd in the country in tackles for loss with 14.5. In addition to leading the team in tackles, Shorts also had 2.5 sacks, two interceptions, four pass break-ups and a forced fumble during the 2019 campaign. 2019 ALL-MOUNTAIN EAST CONFERENCE HONORABLE MENTION (COACHES): QB: Takwan Crews-Naylor (Fairmont State),...Crews-Naylor earned All-MEC honors as a quarterback for the second-straight season after completing 143-of-231 pass attempts for 2,473 yards and 24 touchdowns as a senior. Crews-Naylor completed nearly 62 percent of his passes and averaged 247.3 yards through the air this season. He finished the regular season 24th in the country in passing yards and tied for 17th in touchdown passes. His 2,473 passing yards are the sixth-most in school history in a single season and his 24 TD passes are the third-most in a single season in Fairmont State history. The senior quarterback ended his career 365-of-593 for 5,683 yards and 52 touchdowns. He was only intercepted 17 times. The junior averaged 18.7 yards per reception and 91.6 yards per game this season. The standout receiver became the first player in program history to go over 100 yards receiving in four-consecutive games, a feat he accomplished from week five to week eight of the 2019 campaign. 2019 ALL-MOUNTAIN EAST CONFERENCE FIRST TEAM (COACHES): RB Tyree Randolph, Fairmont State, So.,...Randolph became the second-consecutive running back to surpass 1,000 yards rushing in a season after carrying the ball 161 times for 1,003 yards and 10 touchdowns this season. Randolph averaged 6.2 yards per carry and had five 100-yard rushing performances on the season. Randolph ranked third in the MEC and 30th in the country in rushing yards, and fourth in the conference and 45th in the country in rushing TDs this season. The standout running back also added 23 kick returns for 591 yards and a score on special teams, and hauled in four passes for 122 yards and three scores in the passing game this season. Randolph also ranked sixth in the nation in all-purpose yards (171.6) and ranked 25th in the nation in total touchdowns with 14 this season.
